Actually Nasdaq is an index, not a trading cite. The NYSE is an exchange (much like one we'd find in London, Tokyo, etc). What Apple is not listed under is the Dow 30 (commonly referred to only as "the Dow" or "Dow Jones Industrial Average"), which lists the 30 largest companies of the US based on industry and importance (current ones include WalMart, GE, CitiGroup, etc).
Nasdaq is first and foremost an electronic stock trading medium, but also an index. You needn't elaborate on what the NYSE is, I have a bachelor's degree in finance and work in commodities.

Is this for Intel Macs only or will it work on PPC too?
There is a PPC version but it will only run the PPC version of Windows.

I just updated mine and there is a noticeable difference in speed with this update. It is much faster in opening applications and text messages.
as is usually the case after a reboot.

And you know what else matters? The fact that when Steve Jobs gets up on stage and talks about music, you can tell that he's really passionate about it. He's not just up there to sell tunes. He's a music lover and other music lovers relate to that and appreciate it. It's infectious. And it matters. I've seen MS and other companies talk about music (most often while wearing a suit which is enough to stop you right there) and the way they talk--there's no passion. You can tell that they view it at arms-length, like some kind of commodity, and surround their efforts with insulting marketing campaigns that play down to the lowest common denominator and that does not help.
I don't think Apple has anything to worry about. As long as they keep going, they're fine. I see no reason to think otherwise.
EXACTLY!
Also, add me to the list of users that have seen an XP blue screen—multiple times actually. It all depends on how much work you make your computer do. Of course it exists, even if it were impossible, I'm sure they'd put it in as an easter egg!

Some of us would be willing to accept that. A minitower would consume about as much desk-space as two Mac Mini's. That's more than reasonable IMO.
Or in my case, it would use exactly no desk space since mine neatly tucks it away underneath. While I have no choice but to buy an iMac, a tower like this Core2 Duo based Vector GX (http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1895,1988081,00.asp) from Velocity Micro would give a much cleaner look with my setup.

I wouldn't be surprised if Apple have disabled some functionality.
They know damn well 'secret' features will be leaked out.
The UI theme may change - it doesn't take long.

I have a white 32gb wifi in a sealed box that I want to exchange for a 32GB black AT&T. If anyone wants to trade plus difference in cash, let me know.
Would you be willing to sell it? Since you would have to wait in line to exchange anyways?
I have a friend that is REALLY looking for a 32 gig white one. He leaves back to Arizona in a couple days, it would mean a lot if you considered it.

AT&T=High prices (unlimited talk for $69.99 a month!).
Verizon=Can't talk and web at same time.
T-Mobile=Do EVERYTHING FAST for a cheap price!!!:D
This will be great because I always wanted an iPhone on T-Mobile.:)
They should put 4G on the T-Mobile iPhone because 3G is just too old for a new phone.
EDGE is just tooooooooooooooooooo slow.
Also possibly Mobile Hotspot may be included for FREE!!!:D
Plus Unlimited Data for like $10 a month!!!:D

I don't really know what the BFD is with the hype around these music locker services. These services are nothing new (not that Apples does anything new), they have been around in smaller scale the past few years. Problem is, it took too long to upload music, the streaming quality was average at best, and they were too expensive.
I'd like to see how Apple would improve on these services. They will integrate into the iPod UI. That is great. Possibly better upload times (or no uploading at all). But the benefits end there. Cellular connection are slowing at a quicker rate than cellphones are becoming faster. And now we data caps?
Is anyone on here going to delete all the music on their iPhone to be able to pay $20 per year to regain a subpar stream of there very own music? And at a detriment to their limited data amount? Am I missing something??
THIS IS NOT GOING TO BE ABOUT STREAMING. It is going to be about smart syncing media across Macs & iOS devices. You wont delete all your music on your phone or Mac BUT you wont have to have all of it stored locally to have access to all of it. This is going to be how Apple transitions Macs to Flash storage but still allows one to have gigantic iTunes and iPhoto and iMovie libraries. Same with phones and iPads.

Is it huge, or is it only 30%?
These are all just rumours anyway.
Well the Samsung Series 9 already uses the chip that CNET is speculating will be in the MacBook Air, so we can compare its graphics performance.

Is it a bad thing that apple doesn't want to increase the size of the iPhone? There are people who want/accept huge phones but the fact remains that the motorola razr is historically one of the most successful phones and people criticized the iPhone on its realease for it's size.
The majority of the market wants smaller phones. Apple should go after that
Also. Re: innovation. Ever hear of. Um. The iPhone? Or the iPad?
It will add a few more onces and drain a little bit more battery. That is what will happen and that is not a worthwhile thing to apple.

2+ full size optical drives opppsed to a single slow notebook drive
2+ hard drive bays
Card reader
Easy CPU upgrading
Easy RAM upgrading
Upgradable x16 PCI-Express slot compared to underclocked fixed notebook GPU
3+ PCI/ PCI-E x1 slots for upgrading to new devices
Choice of display
iMac is perfect for most home users.. few "home users"(people who buy a computer and use it, not super up to date about it) upgrade anything..maybe RAM and Harddrive but thats really it

Yeah it was on a touch not a computer.
If you have entered a password and the app downloads, and continue to browse the app store it doesn't require a repeat password entry until you sleep your iPod touch/iPhone.
Exactly.

You don't need Rosetta, iOS is Intel 64 native. You get a copy with Xcode called the Simulator.
Uh, no. iOS is certainly not x86 native. When you compile for the simulator, XCode compiles it against an x86 SDK. But when you compile to publish, its only compiled in ARM code.
So yeah, you can run the CODE on the simulator, but you can't run the published apps on it.

I guess Osama Bin Ladin's iPhone tipped Pres. Obama off.
I heard he didn't disable the location service on his newly purchased Tweetbot app. That damn Twitter will get you every time.
