Indian Government sources had said that the Bureau of Diplomatic Security had contacted the ministry of external affairs (MEA), India around the time Mr Pacheco was incarcerated for his alleged involvement in the mysterious death of his girlfriend Nadia Torrado � he was in jail from July 9 till July 26, when he was awarded bail. He is a former Goa, India tourism minister Francisco Xavier �Mickky� Pacheco was caught on the backfoot on Sunday once again as reports surfaced that the US State Department�s Bureau of Diplomatic Security had informed India that Mr Pacheco might be involved in a big immigration and money laundering racket.
Mr Pacheco used to operate an employment agency along with his estranged wife Sara Pacheco which specialized in finding employment for Goans abroad. But according to the former minister, he has had nothing to do with the agency since he separated from his wife around four years back.

This should serve as a warning to those innocent among us who think his new-found love for point-based system is anything but another ploy by racist southern republican to deny, stall, delay anything that might benefit anyone of slightly colored skin!!

I got my passport renewed in 2005 as my old one was expiring. I had to send my original passport to the Consulate. They sent the new passport with the old one attached to it.

Why not microsoft? The rest of high tech industry will not survive if they can't move their 60% of operations outside of USA. Bone headed congress will continue to come up with legislation that encourage illegal immigration and discourage legal immigration. I just wanted to let you know that all the San Jose members are thrilled that other people have been inspired to hold their own rally.
We are working on a document that details what gives advice on what we did and how we did it. As well as things we learned that we should have done!
Hopefully we'll be able to post it in a few days time, but please bear with us, we need sleep, to catch up at work and make sure we cover all the details.

I am kind of worried with all these.
I presently work for company A whose first 3 years of visa will expire in oct end.
In july sometime I requested company B to file a transfer and they did and it got approved .the date starts from july.However i told company B that i need more time t join them and they agreed to it.
While i was talking to compay A attorney for extension i mentioned to him that i ahve another H1b approved from company B. To which he said ," if that H1b is filed as concurrents then its not a problem. But if its filed as "change in emplyer" then you should have been working for that emplyer from the start of its approval." However company A attorney agreed to jsut file extnesion wihtout mentioning the another approval.
I then asked the i-129 petion frm company B and found that its filed as "change in emplyoer". I asked him about the problmes i might face in extnesion with compnay A visa to which he said.."Don't worry..you don't need to mention about second approval while extneding with company A. You won't have problem gettign extension". it need to be filed as "change in emplyer not concurent.Is this true....???
Also I filed for 485,ead and ap in aug..jsut FYI. But i would like to be on H1b as i am single and don't want to mess up my immigrationhistory..so far its clean. Do you think i could be out of status as i am not working for company B which filed tranfer as change in emplyoer..???

In our 485 notices, Under the section, it is stated as Unknown. priority date is blank. Please let me know if anyone is facing similar situation and what needs to be done to correct it?

Call USCIS and verify your address. Have you moved receently - sometimes your AR11 change of address may not have been recorded on your case.
I am sure, you will get it anytime.

I changed my address last month and they sent the 485 approval notice to the new address, so I think they've got the correct address. Just wondering why it was taking a while...

with 90 days validity and I have not seen my receipts or checks cashed yet.
My lawyer replied to 90 day validity. He mentioned that if at time of sending documents if the check was valid and had not expired then application should be accepted.
Also he mentioned that with so many procedural errors being overlooked in this last July visa bulletion, this has to be looked over, since this is not a problem of candidate sending documents.
And there is nothing one can do about it, so i am thinking it will be alright.
We will be fine.

Well they could hurry up and approve my eb1-c that's been pending for 8 months despite them saying 4 is their target! I can't see how they can say not enough applications when they are way off their targets for poor souls like me. I've put in an SR so we'll see what happens
